Martinis aren't just gin, vermouth & olives anymore! These recipes aren't "classic" martinis; think of them as martinis with heels & a little black dress!

Some call them "girlie martinis," but these cocktails are delicious and pack a punch. Although they aren't technically martinis by the strict definition, drinks like the ones detailed below are often served as martinis in the traditional v-shaped, stemmed glass.

So get out those cocktail shakers and some cracked ice…but be careful, as they're much more potent than they taste! And remember, absolutely no driving after drinking.

Red Bikini Martini

A gorgeous scarlet red, this martini recipe takes advantage of fresh raspberries when they're in season. Use frozen raspberries when fresh ones aren't available.

  • 1/2 oz. black raspberry liqueur
  • 1/2 oz raspberry puree
  • 1 tsp. cream

Directions

  1. Blend ingredients in cocktail shaker.
  2. Strain ice, and serve in a martini glass.
  3. Makes 1 martini.

Loveliness Martini

This martini recipe produces a cocktail that's fruity but not too sweet. Try one on the deck with some friends and a bowl of pretzels!

  • 3 oz. pomegranate juice.

Directions

  1. Blend ingredients in cocktail shaker.
  2. Strain ice, and serve in a martini glass.
  3. Makes 1 martini.

The Best-Ever Lemon Drop

Tart and sweet, this lemon drop recipe contains no high-fructose corn syrup like many similar cocktails found in bars and lounges. This recipe makes two drinks.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Absolute Citron Vodka
  • 1 oz. Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • Juice of one lemon (the freshly-squeezed lemon juice makes the difference in this cocktail)
  • 1/2-1 tsp. agave syrup
  • Citrus soda (such as 7-up or Sprite), to taste

Directions

  1. Blend everything except soda in cocktail shaker.
  2. Strain ice, and pour into a martini glass.
  3. Add a splash of soda to each glass.

The Green-Eyed Monster

This is an exotic fruity martini with a luscious flavor and beautiful light green color.

Wild Irish Rose

Creamy and sweet, this would be a great way to top off a meal.

  • 1 oz. creme de cacao

Directions

  1. Blend ingredients in cocktail shaker.
  2. Strain ice, and serve in a martini glass.

Blue-Eyed Blonde

A sensuous azure color, this is another martini that would be delicious as a dessert.

  • 1 part Bailey's Irish Cream

Directions

  1. Blend ingredients in cocktail shaker.

An Important Note

These drinks might taste like child's play, but they contain a large amount of alcohol. Drink them in moderation (one is usually plenty!), and never drive after drinking!
